t The Community we serve in the soccer program is predominantly Eastern Delaware County, although nearly 20 percent of our participants reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

t The Soccer Program is a character building tool which helps to prevent maladaptive behavior at home, at school and at play.

t The Soccer Program provides licensed coaches and trained facilitators who serve as role models and mentors.

t The Soccer Program provides a weekly youth support group meeting away from the practice ground, where the students can discuss their concerns with their peers, mentors and facilitators.

t Most of the practice sessions are mini clinics.Coach Kabbah creates this structure for most practice sessions in order to accommodate multiple skill levels.

Social and Recreation Support Programs provide sponsored monthly recreational activities for immigrant and refugee youths. Past activities have included attendance at a 76ers basketball game (courtesy of the the Philadelphia 76ers organization), bowling and youth game night.

MUSC Expands

The Multicultural United Soccer Club (MUSC) provides a positive recreational environment and mentorship for  at-risk immigrant youths. The players represent twelve nationalities worldwide, including Ecuador, Mexico, India, and Ghana.

This season, MCFS reached an all time high of registered players.  In 2010, there were just 22 interested youths. However, this year the club is composed of a whopping 112 youths split into 8 teams.
Team Manager Scott Bryant diligently worked to adjust the structure of the program to fit the large enrollment increase with the help of 9 additional coaches and various volunteers. “It was amazing that we could grow so fast.” Says Bryant. “I am very thankful about that and that so many people pitched in to help. We are going to need much more help next year.”
